I’m not completely sure, but I want to say they opened with Lightspeed at the show I first ever saw them at. So that would obviously be the first song I heard from them. When they started playing I remember the bass beating…

I’m not completely sure, but I want to say they opened with Lightspeed at the show I first ever saw them at. So that would obviously be the first song I heard from them. When they started playing I remember the bass beating through my body, I love that feeling. haha and just feeling good. Their music is so happy sometimes, and watching/listening to them play even though I had no idea who they were, made me really happy. I definitely remember being in awe of Barry and his guitar playing/cello playing. (we were right in front of him so I watched him most.)

I’m horrible at daily things, so that’s why this is starting up again like 5 days after the first one. Hopefully I’ll keep up this time.

Day 1: How/why/when did you get into Twin Atlantic?

March 13th, 2010. I went to see my then favourite band Envy on the Coast at The Social. They were supporting The Fall of Troy on their last headlining tour. All I knew of Twin Atlantic was their name from reading it off the website saying they were the openers. A part of me wishes I had looked them up before we went, but most of me is glad I didn’t because I got to experience their music first hand and hear it the way you should, live. Their music absolutely blew me away. It was like nothing I’d ever heard before, yet everything I was always looking for. I bought Vivarium and listened to it all the way home, and that was pretty much it for me. I’d say about 2 weeks later I claimed them as my favourite band from that point on. :)
